From January 5 to March 31, 2026, the Legislative Review Committee (LRC) sought input from workers, employers, labour unions, industry and safety associations, key stakeholders, and interested Manitobans, to gain a thorough understanding of the issues.

We encouraged persons or organizations with an interest in workers compensation to read the Consultation Paper and to follow the links in the Paper to get more detailed information before they made a submission to us. The Paper and the links provided an overview of the issues that we have been asked to consider, as well as a description of the workers compensation system in Manitoba.

The consultation period is now closed and the Committee thanks all Manitobans who submitted feedback. Please watch for updates throughout 2026 as the LRC begins work on completing our report.

All relevant submissions will be posted on the LRC website. All personal information will be edited out before posting.
