A four-member committee will conduct a formal review of The Workers Compensation Act.

Lawrie Cherniack, Chair, is an experienced lawyer, arbitrator, mediator and educator, with extensive service on provincial and municipal boards. A former vice-chair of both the Manitoba Labour Board and Manitoba Human Rights Commission, he holds degrees in English and Law.

Aaron Dolyniuk, representing employers, is the Executive Director of the Manitoba Trucking Association. He has extensive experience in transportation and trucking, focusing on safety, labour practices and professional driver training.

Lynne Fernandez, representing the public interest, held the Errol Black Chair in Labour Issues at the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives. She has worked as an advocate, instructor and researcher of public policy, economics, migrant workers and labour issues. 

Rick Rennie, representing workers, is the Workplace Safety and Health/Education Director at the Manitoba Federation of Labour (MFL). He also serves on the boards of the MFL Occupational Health Centre and Workplace Education Manitoba and represents workers on the Minister’s Advisory Council for Workplace Safety and Health.
